American West Security’s Anti-Crime Patrol Team’s (ACPT) goal is to minimize all, if not most criminal activity ranging from Transients Loitering (A.RS. 13-2905), Trespassing (A.R.S. 13-1502), Shoplifting (A.R.S. 13-1805), Panhandling (A.R.S. 13-2914), and other activities that might drive your tenants, customers, and guest away. We provide 24/7 coverage and as part of our Emergency Response Team (ERT) who are part of the Patrol Division that are out in the field proving a visual deterrent and answering all service calls. The QRT’s job is to answer service calls to your property within an average of 20 Minutes, assess the situation, and take appropriate action based on Local, State, and Federal Laws and the properties’ own rules and regulations as set forth by the Property Manager/Company and American West Security’s Standard Operation Procedures.

Our ERT has hundreds of hours of training including but not limited to self-defense, hand-to-hand combat, Firearms training, and De-Escalation techniques. Most of our Field Security Officer is certified to carry Firearms, Tasers, and other less-than-lethal equipment. The equipment that is being carried can be modified at the request of Property Management. A list of commonly used equipment can be provided upon request for review.

Our in-house and contracted instructors trains all of our Anti-Crime Patrol Team members in safe Firearm handling, use of less-than-lethal equipment including Tasers, Baton, and pepper spray, Takedown techniques for individual who are physically aggressive toward tenants and the customers, and use of De-Escalation techniques, that consist of how you speak to an individual, to include Verbal judo and the Ask, Tell, Make, a technique that is widely used by many law enforcement agencies thru out the West Coast of the United States. Other Training available includes Loss Prevention, First Aid/CPR/AED, and other courses that make our Security Operators more capable of supporting your mission. With Former Law Enforcement Officers, Corrections Officers, Executive Protection, and Military personal working for us we bring a high level of expertise, training, instinct, and teamwork, unlike many other companies, we base our clients’ needs on the Quality of Service we can provide, not on the Quantity of contract we can get.

Most properties do not require a long-term presence of the Anti-Crime Patrol Team, and our regular Site Security Officers can handle the day-to-day coming and goings of transients. The Anti-Crime Patrol Team can be used to augment your current security plan for a short-term contract, or we can formulate a long-term solution for your specific needs and make changes to that plan as life happens.

With the ability to detain suspects, and with proper probable cause (PC) we can take many criminals off the properties and off the streets. By enforcing the property rules and documenting all our actions we can increase the safety of your tenants and their customers but also minimized liability to the property management by reporting issues ranging from broken windows, broken sprinkles to lights not working and dark areas in a timely manner to get those issues fix saving the property money and providing a safe environment for people to shop and live in.
